Well, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I have been working on my first romance novella more feverishly as of late. I hopefully will have it ready to publish in a few weeks.

I had taken some time off from writing, and especially the web. I need to get into the groove and am pushing myself to get my novella written, which is way behind what I had hoped would be its time for completion.

I really liked a sex scene I wrote. It sure as hell had me hot while I was writing it, and I hope it does the same for you. There is humor, heartbreak, and of course great sex is this novella. I am looking forward to getting it done and I hope you are looking forward to reading it.

Ooowee! I am excited to announce that I have started up a group on Facebook specifically for romance readers and writers. Whether you are just getting started in writing, are an accomplished author, or you love to read romances and erotic romance, this group is for you.

My purpose for setting up the group was simple. I was looking around on Facebook for some groups to join to promote myself when I get my first novel published. I did find some fine groups no doubt, but some groups were closed groups which did make any sense to me as the purpose I wanted in a group was to be able to promote to a general audience. Another thing was groups requiring that members participate in discussions in order to post about their books.

I simply wanted a group for anybody to be able to promote their books, whether their first or their hundredth book, and for readers to be able to use the group without having to join and be able, when they click on the group, to see books and more books available to them to their hearts’ content.

I also wanted a group which did not have the appearance of an adult bookstore and which people would not be shy or ashamed about checking out. Yes, some of our offerings will have strong sexual content, and some will not. Regardless of the content of any author’s offerings, the look of the place needs to cater to the average reader where they can not only find something to read for a teenage daughter, but also find something steamy and sinful if that is their taste, without feeling sleazy while looking around the place.

In order to accomplish all of this, I started my own group on Facebook. Membership in the group has started off very well. Myself and other members are enthusiastic about it. Browse through the group as a guest or join in to promote your work, talk with authors, or start or join in a discussion. There are no requirements; it’s your group as you see fit to use it.

It’s another New Year’s Eve party, and once again you find yourself drunk and dancing naked on top of a table. And once again you have to live down the embarrassment, the humiliation, of making another New Year’s resolution.

Right on, girl! The dancing naked part was the best part.

Right after New Year’s we find ourselves pushing carts through stores like zombies on a mission to to load it up with low fat this and diet that in order to keep promises we made while we were drunk and naked, and don’t you act like you haven’t done either.

And of course we know that if we eat more low fat food we’ll lose weight even faster. Uh, right?

Really?

What we need to do is to make more, not realistic, but enjoyable resolutions. And that one about not getting drunk and dancing naked again ain’t gonna happen. I mean seriously, why take away some of your fun, huh?

What might be some good resolutions for the new year?

Getting laid by someone different every week/month?

If you are married, getting someone to want to lay you, then telling them no?

Now something like getting a raise, well now the way businesses are cutting people’s incomes today, you are more likely to have your’s lowered while the head of the company increases his; it’s all the rage now. So how about a resolution to not have your income cut? Yep, it’s a fantasy, but then so is the one about losing weight. Let’s face it, diet foods and low fat products exist to sell more product, not to help you lose weight.

New Year’s resolutions should be something fun, something that you can actually succeed at without having to change the laws of physics or human behavior, and preferably should be made while drunk and dancing naked on a table. It’s just so much more fun for everybody that way.

Oh, and trust me, don’t wear tassels, that’s just an accident waiting to happen.

It would be a fair question as I don’t have anything up on Amazon yet. This post is not about describing myself as a writer, but really just to update readers on what you can expect to see from me soon.

I am presently working on a short erotic romance novel. It is always the case that no matter how quickly something seems to be going, it just slows down and takes its time. Unless we are talking about men that is.

I have 18 chapters outlined for the novel, and it should fall into place with this outline. I could combine or split a chapter, but I think overall it will come out close to 20,000 words.

I am also working on a short story to post on this blog, both for your entertainment and as a sample of my writing for you. It is lesbian erotica.

My long term goal is a continuing series of  erotic mysteries. It will follow some of the conventions of mysteries, but the heroine of the series is open-minded about her sexuality and loves sex. There will also be a continuing story arc through the series to give readers something more to look forward to in each book.

That pretty much describes what I am working on. I want to keep myself organized for now, so I am concentrating on the series and an occasional erotic romance novel and short story for this site for your enjoyment.
